To graduate in College is the best milestone in life. Congratulations to Ma. Irish Edubas Olaer on your achievement.
She graduated in Bachelor of Science in Hotel Restaurant and Management at Holy Name University on the 22nd day of March 2016.
During the tribute of parents, prior to the graduation rites we heard the motivational speech of the Guest speaker that encourages all the graduates to look and move forward for a better future.
She earned her degree through a lot of trials and sacrifices with the full support of her parents and supportive uncle.
Being the eldest of the family, she take charge of the responsibility on behalf of her mother. It was not so easy for her being so young to handle such responsibilities while her mother is working abroad. She experienced difficulties during the adjustment period while she started the big responsibility. Family will always matter those days despite of the ups and downs for several years.
The celebration was followed with sumptuous dinner at JJS restaurant with her family, close friends, and relatives arround. It was a very memorable evening full of joy and happiness.
Through her success, Irish become a good model and inspiration to us and to other children of OFWs. Hard work, sacrifices, faith and trust in God are the keys to make your dreams come true.
Being a proud uncle, I advice you Irish to be ready as your life slowly change. Now you will think how to start a new job, moving to a new place, experiencing heartbreak, getting married ,most of which you will barely notice happening in your lives. When things get rough and difficult dont give up but keep on trying to get through the obstacles and challenges in life.
Today, you will understand that most of the things that happen in your life is a result of your own decisions and actions. Now you are one of the best, successful and we can consider and say’s your now a professional.
Message from Irish to her Mama
To My Amazing Mama ,
I don’t know where to begin, I don’t know what to say.Thankyou is a very small word for all the sacrifices you make everyday. You gave up the most important things in your life; which is working abroad, so that we your children could make on most important things such us sending us into private schools, and giving us all our needs and wants. I remember before you always telling us “kakayanin ko at ibibigay ko ang lhat ng gusto nyo, dhil nong bata pa ako kahit medyas wla akong pambili”. Ma, I love you everything, You are the real star. I salute you for being a wonderful mother to us, a loving wife to our father and a faithful daughter to our Almighty God. You were strong enough to face the trials in life. You are a good fighter mama. I was really blessed because you are my mother. You have always put all my worries into rest, with every memory I own, I realize the love and care you showered on me. You are truly God’s blessing ma. Even though we don’t always agree things, we don’t always get along and we haven’t always had the greatest bond, but at the end of the day you are always my mother. I just want you to know that you are the best mama anyone could ask for. You are an awesome mother. Just always remember Ma that Im always here for you no matter what. I love you always Ma.
Message from Irish to her Papa
To My Superman, Pa Im always telling you that you are the best Father in the world. We all know that you are not a perfect father to us but throughout my childhood I have seen you standing like a permanent pillar of motivation for me. There were countless times that you took our love for granted and gave us a lot of disappointments. However, I never called you a failure for all the mistakes you have done. Still, I loved you for who you are. Words are not enough to tell you how thankful to have you. You are the coolest Papa in the world. You are my hero and my protector. You taught me how to stay strong, stand up for myself and never back down and pick myself up again each time I fall. You always encourage and inspire me with your words. You’ve always made sure I am a person of my words and kept true to myself. You were never been strict to me and always telling me go out and have some fun with your friends “palagi kang lang nasa bahay labas-labas din pag may time ate” and “get married na ate para makakita na ako ng apo” -those were your lines na I realized that you are truly an awesome papa. Thank you so much pa .We both know that we had a fights but you never left us. All my success I owe you and I salute you Pa.. I love you so much !
Once again, Congratulations Ma. Irish Olaer and Good luck for your next journey.
